MEP were contracted to provide expert advice on the insurance losses and rebuilding costs of 3 integrated fish meal businesses in Chile destroyed by the earthquake and ensuing tsunami wave. Two experts were quickly mobilised and inspected all the sites, whilst the country was still experiencing severe aftershocks. Assessment of the scope of the damage and evaluation of the proposed rebuilding / reinstatement costs were undertaken in the country. Quotations received for infrastructure and equipment replacement were assessed over the following months.
