Identification, preparation and implementation of the Fourth Fisheries Development Project to develop the fisheries sector in Yemen. A multi-disciplinary team assisted the Ministry of Fish Wealth in planning and formulating strategies for the management of resources and institutional restructuring of the sector. The project covered fishing methods, processing, domestic and export marketing, and the position of women in fishing communities. The project also involved the preparation of an environmental master-plan for the coastal zone of the Gulf of Aden.
