MEP were asked to provide Technical Due Diligence for Aquaculture Enterprise in Kenya. A team of experts visited the site on the shores of Lake Victoria where the tilapia cage farm is located.
The farm plan to construct a second hatchery with additional on-growing cages to increase their production.
The MEP report outlined the technical and operational capacity of the farm and identified where the farm is performing well and highlighted any possible areas of improvement.
The farm was well run and has great potential to develop into a major producer of farmed tilapia.
Whilst improvements were identified which would improve the farms efficiency, no major red flags were raised which would hinder future development.
