MEP were commissioned by a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund to provide commercial due diligence services on an Oman based fisheries target. The work involved consideration of the targets procurement and marketing operations (staff, processes, financial considerations), identification of Strengths and Weaknesses and the development of any potential opportunities for growth in the future. The study also made recommendations on potential new markets which might be targeted by the company in the short to medium term and what potential improvements could be made to its purchasing operations in the country. As part of the work, MEP made a visit to Oman to meet with key staff members of the target and to review the current operations of the company. Consequently, the Client has moved forward with an investment in the target company.
