MEP were contracted to update a previously completed full feasibility study on the creation of a new industrial fishery in the Sultanate of Oman, targeting under-exploited small pelagic resources within the EEZ and high seas tuna fishing.
The aim of the update was to provide new information relating to regional and international regulations, new stock assessment information and provide an updated cost assessment and financial model (considering real time data collected at the pilot stage of the project).
The project resulted in an updated financial and technical feasibility study which could be used by the client to assess further development of the project. This resulted in the commercial go-ahead of the proposed company and its full operation in the Sultanate of Oman.
