As part of the Due Diligence process, prior to the acquisition of a significant Seafood Processor in Scotland, a Venture Capital Fund commissioned this study. The likely future over the next 5-10 years of the Scottish shellfish industry was assessed, focusing particularly on Nephrops, scallops and brown crabs, including a semi-quantitative analysis of the probability and impact (positive or negative) of difference scenarios. The main likely sources of change considered in the report were i) stock status and management; and ii) the Scottish and EU regulatory framework.
