MEP have been working with WWF to complete assessments which are aimed to provide consumer advice related to sustainable seafood. Over 90 assessments have been completed from fisheries found worldwide.
The methodology is designed to evaluate impacts from a particular fishery which targets a specific species using a certain capture method. Impacts on stock health, wider marine ecosystem implications as well as stock dynamics and the management of the respective fishery are reviewed.
