Training in the use of a fisheries data collection application
Fran has just returned from her week in Ghana where she was training local community members in the use of a fisheries data collection application. The application is installed on android phones and is designed to collect data on the volume and value of fish catches on a daily basis.
The photos below show Fran and the 10 selected enumerators conducting training sessions, recording the lengths and weights and types of various species landed on the beaches of Sanzule in the Western region of Ghana.
